The Royal Peacock Opal Mine has both Bank (unsearched Wall) and Tailings digging and also has a pay campground, cabins, & small shop near the mine. This is considered to be the BEST fee dig in the valley by many. It is owned and operated by the oldest family still in the valley today, the Wilson's, who are your friendly hosts. This is where the large 130 lb opal log was found in the 1990's by a fee digger and the mine has also produced many large black opals! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! More details can be seen on their website:
