BONANZA OPAL MINE has announced they will be CLOSED for 2020, LINK HERE
VIRGIN VALLEY CAMPGROUND and SHELDON NWR is OPEN, LINK HERE
UPDATE 5/31/20: Virgin Valley Campground is OPEN. If you are visiting Virgin Valley you should regularly check both the Sheldon Refuge page as well as the individual mines you plan to visit, and contact them for updates before you travel because the status quo might change. Royal Peacock Mine has a pay campground but you will need to contact them for the most current info. The ROYAL PEACOCK OPAL MINE plans to open on May 15, 2020, and they have announced that safety precautions are being taken so you can have a safe and enjoyable visit.
